Little Stadbury is a spacious two bedroomed former piggery, located in a secluded yet convenient spot in the heart of the South Hams. The property has undergone a total refurbishment and has an open plan living area comprising a fully fitted kitchen with integrated fridge, freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher, separate washing machine, a comfy sitting area with TV and a large dining table that seats six. There is a shower room downstairs and upstairs a bathroom with shower over.
The two double bedrooms are light and comfortable; one has a double bed and the other has twin single beds. A third bed will fit in the twin room, while either bedroom will fit a cot (both available on request). There are fluffy towels, squishy feather duvets and pillows and gorgeous cotton linen to aid restful sleep.
Outside is a small, secure, private courtyard garden furnished with a table and chairs, and a barbecue for al fresco dining. Across the drive is a large paddock for ball games, dogs, and for admiring the view down to the sea at Bantham.
There is ample parking immediately outside Little Stadbury.
We also provide a high chair, travel cot and stair gate for little ones on request
Within walking distance is the stunning village of Bantham and its gorgeous sandy beach, which is patrolled by life guards during the summer months, where you can learn to surf, paddle board, windsurf, sunbathe, sleep or read. Whilst dogs are not allowed on the main beach between May and October, they ARE allowed on the beach at the mouth of the estuary between Bantham and Bigbury on Sea . Little Stadbury is also yards from the Avon Estuary Walk route, from which you can pick up the Coastal Path. There are a number of pubs within walking distance including the Sloop and the Fisherman's Rest (Aveton Gifford), while further afield you are spoilt for choice in terms of award winning eateries. There are village shops in Bantham, Aveton Gifford and Churchstow, and the market town of Kingsbridge is three miles away with a choice of supermarkets and interesting artisanal shops. For the yachties, Salcombe is around 6 miles away and Dartmouth 12.
Dogs are welcome, although not upstairs and not on the furniture. Just in case they happen to get a little wet and muddy, there is an outside tap with a hose and we can provide old towels to dry them!
